Furlough Scheme – Never about protecting jobs – It was about delaying unemployment to make sure you Complied

In March this year the recently appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak announced an unprecedented scheme in line with the draconian lockdown announced by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. The furlough scheme according to the Chancellor was to protect jobs, and the government’s way of showing they really cared by doing “whatever it takes” to help Joe Bloggs. How naive the majority were….

The furlough scheme was never about protecting jobs, it was created to delay unemployment and ensure that the majority would comply with the new fascistic, dictatorial, technocratic rule about to spread across the land. What better way to ensure the majority would play their part in the destruction of the economy and life as we knew it, than pay them to sit on their backsides with money printed out of thin air.

Which it was by the way. The Bank of England printed money out of thin air and pumped it into the economy and allowed ‘The Government’ to increase their overdraft with the Bank of England from £370 million to an Unlimited amount. But it won’t be the government that will have to pay it back. It will be the British taxpayer.

Did anybody who willfully complied stop to think about the long term consequences? I would imagine they were too excited by the fact they were going to be paid by the state to sit at home for months on end. They probably thought of it as a holiday. I wonder if they are still thinking of it as a holiday now that the country has arrived at the eve of economic doom?

And whilst Joe Bloggs was being paid to comply and facilitate the destruction of the economy, the government slipped through a bill allowing the country to become a dictatorial, authoritarian state without so much as a murmur in protest. A bill though which it is now illegal to enter a shop without a face nappy. A bill through which it is now illegal to be in a company of more than 6 people. A bill through which it is now illegal to have family who do not live with you enter your home. A bill through which it is now illegal to leave your home if you have a cough, a temperature or a loss of sense of taste and/or smell. Symptoms which are associated with but not limited to the following common ailments –

Upper RTIs (sinuses and throat)Lower RTIs (airways and lungs)
Common coldBronchitis
Sinusitis (sinus infection)Bronchiolitis
TonsillitisChest infection
LaryngitisPneumonia (lung infection)

Oh and flu, we forget to mention the flu, just like it has forgot to turn up this year and is at an all time low. But that’s a story for another day.

So now we are starting to see the consequences of the majority’s compliance. A majority who have spent far too long fearing the consequences of not complying, thanks to the endless loop of fear being played out through the daily propaganda on their tele-screens.

The unemployment rate is well on it’s way to 10%, big businesses are collapsing such as the Arcadia Empire and Debenhams, and the Hospitality Industry is on the brink, of which a gloomy 75% of businesses are expected to go bust. And this is just the start. The knock on effect of these job losses and businesses failing will be catastrophic and will effect everybody. Just wait and see.

There will be little comfort to find in the fact you have played your part in delaying the spread of a supposed new disease with a fatality rate of less than 0.2%, when you are unable to put food on the table and the term privacy has been confined to the history books as something that existed prior to the 21st century.
