Labor’s green dream is failing Australians. At a recent energy policy event, Senator Matt Canavan pointed out the failures and said both the National Party and Liberal Party will scrap net zero.
Today, Matt Canavan, Senator for Queensland and leader of the National Party of Australia, joined Paul Murray, presenter on News24 (formerly known as Sky News Australia) to discuss the Gracemere Energy Policy Forum.
At the event, they were “talking [about] this major issue that’s hit central Queensland in recent years which has just wind and wind and solar and battery projects earmarked everywhere disrupting people’s lives,” Canavan said.
“We just need to get this message out to more and more Australians that this current approach on energy policy is not working. It’s not working for [farmers] because your power prices are going through the roof. It’s not working for our economy because we’re losing industry hand over fist and it’s killing and crushing the hopes and dreams of rural communities too,” he said. “Yet this [Labor] government just has its head in the sand. It’s saying let’s just continue on a failed energy policy process.”
Also at the event was Angus Taylor, Member of Parliament for Hume and the Leader of the Liberal Party and Leader of the Opposition.
Because the Government’s “green” energy policies are a failure, the two politicians were at the event to say, “”We’re going to scrap net zero.[We’re] going to get rid of these ridiculous subsidies going to some of the largest companies in the world … And let’s focus again on using our own resources. Use all our coal, our oil, our gas, our renewables where it’s appropriate to do so, but not everywhere, and do that to lower power prices for all Australians,” Canavan said.

as long as alternative energy is not sufficient and stable to make the industrial production reliable and competitive, forget about it, it will empoverish everyone. Subsidies paid by the taxpayer, not the State, just drive an artificially sustainable economy with no future, as all of a sudden, the billionaires admit that they cannot run their AI centers on alternative energy and they they want to build nuclear plants to drive them and use the water we would need for farming our food,
This is all a big hypocritcal business plan for the 0,01% who are privatizing the planet with the help of the politicians groomed and protected by them. As long as everything is paid by the taxes, the business plan will remain if the people don’t stand up.
It’s not enough to scrap Net Zero. The Paris Agreement also needs to be scrapped.
