“Rudderless” climate activists target AI data centres as funding for climate alarmism dries up

Please share our story!

Globally, climate activists are intensifying scrutiny of and action against AI data centres due to their rapidly growing energy and water consumption, with projections indicating global electricity demand from data centres will more than double by 2030.

According to Marc Marano, climate activists are attacking AI data centres because the likes of Bill Gates, Larry Fink, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg have abandoned the climate change agenda.

In June, The Guardian reported, “In an analysis of about 3,600 climate-related lawsuits filed since 2015, the latest annual review of climate litigation by the London School of Economics (LSE) found a growing number of cases challenging the energy sources, water consumption and air pollution of datacentres, all of which have related climate implications.”

Some climate catastrophists are targeting AI data centres by restricting which projects receive funding. For example, a Greening AI Data Centres Coalition (“GADCC”) was launched in April 2026 by nine global built environment and sustainable finance organisations to establish “sustainability” standards.  The aim is to direct financial investment toward AI facilities that use “green” energy, recycle water and reuse heat.

The nine GADCC organisations are: the Building Research Establishment (“BRE”), the Climate Bonds Initiative, the German Sustainable Building Council (“DGNB”), the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (“GRESB”), the Green Building Council of Australia (“GBCA”), the Green Building Council South Africa (“GBCSA”), the Indian Green Building Council (“IGBC”), the US Green Building Council (“USGBC”) and the World Green Building Council (“WorldGBC”).

Climate Depot executive editor Marc Morano joined ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ to discuss why left-wing climate activists in America are targeting AI data centres with a new legislative push.  He argued that climate activists are resurrecting the Green New Deal framework as technology giants shift funding.  This shift in funding will have relevance globally.

“The climate activists have been rudderless since Donald Trump was elected, specifically.  And this is the most important fact of why the Green New Deal is being resurrected to fight AI data centres,” he said.

“The actual funders of the climate movement, and I’m talking from Larry Fink at Blackrock, to Jeff Bezos, to Bill Gates, to Mark Zuckerberg, have largely abandoned the climate issue in not only funding; you have Zuckerberg shutting down his climate fund, Bill Gates cutting staff, and you have Jeff Bezos not even meeting a third of his commitment to his climate pledge. They’re walking away because they see profit motive in the AI data centres.

“And this leaves the activists completely rudderless and more radical … these activists have gone from socialism to openly embracing Mao, Stalin, Marxism.”

While previously it was a hobby culminating in writing articles for Wikipedia (until things made a drastic and undeniable turn in 2020) and a few books for private consumption, since March 2020 I have become a full-time researcher and writer in reaction to the global takeover that came into full view with the introduction of covid-19. For most of my life, I have tried to raise awareness that a small group of people planned to take over the world for their own benefit. There was no way I was going to sit back quietly and simply let them do it once they made their final move.

The more people that oppose data centres the better. Data centres are an environmental nightmare; they are extremely noisy and can also make people sick from infrasound that they cannot actually hear. They must affect wildlife in the same way. Some use vast amounts of water for cooling and others are air cooled using huge amounts of electricity and causing electrical surges and outages. Their purpose is surveillance, tracking and monitoring everything that people do.

“They” are building, essentially, a global concentration camp where everything will be digitally controlled and monitored – a single giant, global computer that controls literally everything and all aspects of life. I got a clue today that all things military will be connected to these data centres so they can literally press a button and the whole military apparatus will grind into motion, not just the missiles. They are very, very mad. The good news is that, by their own admission, the thing is running under its own steam and they “can’t control it”. This means that any anomalies in the system are also out of their control, which means that the likelihood of all the anomalies going AWOL and crashing the whole system is pretty high – and I’d go as far as to guarantee that it will all implode and we will all breathe a huge sigh of relief and go back to living like natural human beings and Children of God.

I should’ve made a note of it and I’m sorry I didn’t. I saw a report from a small town in the US where a massive data centre is being proposed for building. The water consumption of the data centre will essentially use all the water that the residents use as it’s in a desert area and all water comes from the local aquifer. The part of the meeting that found its way to yoot yoob was where a man who’s building company is permanently contracted to build these data centres stood up and said (paraphrasing as best as I can), “I build these things and they DO NOT USE ANY WATER. Electrical gear doesn’t need anything to keep it cool. So all of what you hear about the amounts of water they use is a lie. I’ve no idea why they are promulgating this lie but I’m here to tell you – data centres don’t use any water and they don’t need to”. It’s fairly easy to come up with “reasons why” …… and remember, the term “conspiracy theory” was coined by the FBI originally when they were covering up the Kennedy assassination and public conjecture was getting uncomfortably close to the truth – uncomfortable for them, that is …..

Thermal dynamics dictates optimal operating efficiency of any system that requires energy. A simple pc only works within a small tolerance then shuts down.
If they sited these systems near the ocean, cooling is abundant.
The question that flags to me is why site them in a desert?
