In his usual witty style, Dr. Vernon Coleman gives us some of the latest news to come out of the UK.
He has a fair amount to say about Prime Minister Mayor Andy Burnham.
So, without further ado, here’s Dr. Coleman’s ‘Passing Observations 299’.

1. Is it conceivably possible that the bizarre bit of trouble at RAF Fairford was a false flag, designed to build up hatred of Iran (which, for the record, has never attacked or threatened Britain) so that Mayor Burnham’s appalling Government can excuse providing additional help to the US military when it wants to drop more bombs on Iran? Doubters will have noted that, to widespread astonishment, all the alleged terrorists were quickly released on bail.
2. A white Englishman was sentenced to two years in prison for throwing a small plastic bottle and allegedly saying naughty words when addressing police officers. Meanwhile, Mayor Burnham gives taxpayers’ money to Ukraine, which bombs oil refineries (pushing up the price of oil) and operates press gangs to recruit fodder for the battlefield.
3. Burying rubbish is much better for the environment than most recycling. The recycling of metal makes sense. But most of the accepted truths churned out by mad greens are nonsense. You’d have to use a cotton bag 173 times for it to be more energy efficient than a plastic bag. And a steel straw is less “friendly” than a plastic straw. Polystyrene cups are better for the world than ceramic cups. Paper and plastics cannot be usefully recycled. Idiot politicians and campaigners want us to recycle more. But if we care about our planet, we should recycle far less. We should bury or burn our rubbish. And councils should fire all their recycling staff and cancel recycling collections.
4. Mayor Burnham plans to introduce a new UK anti-disinformation unit. You can guess what his new `Ministry of Truth’ will suppress. (If Mayor Burnham really wanted to stop the dissemination of untruths, he would close down the BBC and all mainstream corporate media and ban Google, Facebook et al.)
5. A 22-year-old man has been found who does not claim to be autistic or suffering from ADHD. He is embarrassed and has asked to remain anonymous.
6. Male and female citizens in Ukraine are being press-ganged into the military wherein they will doubtless be dead within hours. It seems likely that citizens in the EU and Britain will soon be press-ganged into taking part in an entirely unnecessary war which could have been stopped years ago, which no one wants and which exists solely as part of the Great Reset’s depopulation plan. Those who imagine that they will be excused from military service because of their ADHD, autism or flat feet can think again. Press gangs don’t stop to accept sick notes. The way things are going, every young man and woman will be forced into military service. And then their mums, dads and grandparents will be forced to join too. Did anyone vote for this?
7. More than 65 valuable works of art have been stolen from the Houses of Parliament in the last two years. It is, of course, unthinkable that there are any dishonest MPs or Lords nicking stuff. So who is it? Where is Sherlock Holmes when you need him?
8. Despite much whinging from Z generation snowflakes, evidence proves that life is infinitely harder for the old than it is for the young. And successive far-left-wing Labour Governments are doing everything they can to make life so miserable for the elderly that they will clamour for Labour’s euthanasia programme to be introduced.
9. Unhappy about only being involved in two major wars (the pointless and unjustifiable ones in Ukraine and Iran), Mayor Burnham has joined in Saudi Arabia’s fight against the relentless, fearless Houthis who are undefeated in battle and likely to remain so now that they have shoes as well as weapons. Congratulations to Mayor Burnham for involving Britain in three wars at once. There may well be a fourth war if the controversy over the Falkland Islands hots up. Maybe Mayor Burnham will end his days in prison as a war criminal.
10. The tireless Colin M. Barron has produced a second edition of his bestselling book `Why I will never buy an electric car’. Updated and extended, the book contains valuable and essential chapters on the global warming fraud and the net zero nonsense and also includes vital practical reading on E-bikes and E-scooters. The advice on E-bikes is especially timely since these things seem to have a habit of bursting into flames without any provocation. Dr. Barron’s book is essential reading for anyone trying to survive and wanting to know why buying an electric car makes as much sense as bathing in an English waterway or believing Mayor Burnham’s promises. 11. Nations all around the world have appalling leaders because the wrong people want to be leaders. Moreover, these ambitious fools are elected by the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
12. The UK’s legislation to give 16-year-olds the vote is, perhaps, a way to ensure that conscription can start at the age of 16 instead of 18. Those enthusiastically supporting the idea of 16-year-olds being able to vote might like to think again.
13. When you next see a “fact checker” being quoted please check out the age and experience of the fact checker and look to see where they get their money from (often from dangerous and disreputable places such as Facebook).
14. An English couple I know are fed up with struggling to pay their bills. They can see no future in the UK and so they have bought an inflatable dinghy. “We’re heading across the English Channel,” they told me. “We’re going to head for France and then go down to Somalia or Syria as asylum seekers. Britain is stuffed but there must be opportunities somewhere for people prepared to work hard.”
15. Mayor Burnham is going to allow councils to steal houses which have been empty for six months. This is clearly part of the World Economic Forum’s plan to ensure that we all own nothing. Second homes and holiday homes left empty for the winter will doubtless be grabbed. And a clause in the newly introduced Renter’s Rights Act means that property owners cannot, under some circumstances, let a property for a year. MPs with several homes will have to dash between them to ensure that none of their properties are nicked.
16. Solar panels and wind turbines cannot be made without using fossil fuels [more correctly, hydrocarbon fuels]. Both solar panels and wind turbines are energy negative – in other words, more energy is expended in making them and making them run, than will ever be produced when they are working. And remember solar and wind produce just 4% of our energy. Those who want us to survive only with solar and wind would condemn us to a life without 96% of the energy we currently use.
17. Those who served in the forces are likely to be called up first when Mayor Burnham starts sending Britons off to die pointlessly in Ukraine. I was an unwilling member of the Combined Cadet Force when I was at school. Does this mean I’m likely to be called up?
